The eight bulwarks of Torrita
Torrita's
territory is divided into eight districts. Among these, Porta a Pago, Porta a Sole, Porta Gavina and Porta Nova are located in the historic center of the town and take their names from the four gates in the ancient walls, which date back to 1000 a.C.
The other ones, Cavone, Le Fonti, Refenero e Stazione, spread out in the area of the town surrounding the historic center, towards the villages next to Torrita.
